The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie was a huge joy to be apart of. Having been a fan of the cartoon since I was a kid, the experience of working on the Feature Film was alot like the cartoon itself; fun and surreal.
My visual effects contributions included work on both the live action and cartoon components of the film. This allowed me to stretch my creative capabilities by working within two completely different visual worlds. My main tasks on the film included thruster fire, embers, heat haze, liquid butter simulations, ketchup FX, lazers, cloth simulation as well as ice cream interaction with Patrick.
Aside from working on shots i was also heavily involved in look development, creating setups for the FX team and compositing in Nuke.
